Introduction
When I began working on WhereToWork, my focus was to build something truly helpful for people who need reliable workspaces outside traditional offices. It wasn’t just about listing places; it was about understanding what matters—like Wi-Fi strength, sound levels, and plug availability—and designing a tool that provides those details in the easiest way possible. My goal was to create a platform that feels intuitive, efficient, and, most importantly, useful.
Process
The design decisions for this project came from solving real frustrations users might face. For example, long and complicated forms made workspace recommendations overwhelming, so I broke the process into three clear steps to make it more approachable. Generic star ratings didn’t provide enough detail, so I introduced feature-specific ratings to help users give and receive meaningful feedback. Additionally, contextual pop-ups replaced traditional modals to reduce workflow disruptions, and better visual hierarchy ensured the platform was accessible for all users.

Why These Design Changes Matter
Every aspect of WhereToWork was designed with the user in mind. The result is a platform that not only helps people find the perfect workspace but also encourages them to share detailed, useful feedback with others. This project reinforced one of my core beliefs about design: when you simplify the process and prioritize user needs, you create something people love to use.
